Designed for use in any MIDI setup that requires additional MIDI thrus, the Quadra runs exclusively on MIDI power, so you don't have to worry about batteries or a power supply. The box has LED indicator lights that show when it is powered. The lights also flash when MIDI data passes through so you can easily tell that the device is working.
The Quadra features active circuitry that reduces the gradual loss or skewing of MIDI signals, which often occurs when MIDI devices are daisy-chained together. The thru box accomplishes this by reading and re-clocking the MIDI data rather than simply passing it on to the next device. This process lets you use the Quadra to extend MIDI connections with cables longer than 15 metres.
