Product Information

If you’re looking for higher playback levels and more low frequency extension, the G Four offers an exquisite balance of sonic purity and energy - making it perfect for larger spaces.

The G Four is designed to bring out the finest details and nuances of your favourite music and movies, allowing you to experience content exactly the way the creators intended it, even in challenging acoustic environments. You’ll hear things that you’ve never heard before, yet with its generous SPL of 105 dB and low frequency extension right down to 41 Hz, the G Four can match that precision with an abundance of power.

The active design of the G Four removes the need for bulky external power amplifiers, since the amplifiers are contained within the speaker cabinet itself. Not only does this give you high quality internal amplifiers that are totally optimised for the drivers they are feeding, but it also means that you can simply hook up your sound source directly to the G Four for clean, uncompromised performance. And with a simple room compensation switches, you can tailor the sound of the G Four for your own unique acoustic environment, ensuring truthful sound wherever you choose to listen.

Features
  • Active Crossovers: Audio electronic crossovers allow the audio signal to be split into separate frequency bands that are separately routed to individual power amplifiers, which are then connected to specific transducers optimised for a particular frequency band
  • Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW™) Technology: A revolutionary approach was taken by Genelec in 1983 with the development of its Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW™).
  • Intelligent Signal Sensing (ISS™) Technology: Introduced early 2013, Genelec’s Intelligent Signal-Sensing technology has been developed to meet with both European Union ErP Directives and Genelec's own ambitious sustainability standards
  • Iso-Pod™ Stand: Although it is advisable to use sturdy and stable floor stands together with free-standing loudspeakers, a very common solution is to place loudspeakers directly on a table or on a console meter bridge
  • Minimum Diffraction Enclosure (MDE™) Technology: A common problem with standard free-standing loudspeakers is that the front baffle discontinuities cause diffractions and the loudspeaker sharp corners act as secondary sources through reflections
  • Optimised Amplifiers: Audio electronic crossovers allow to split the audio signal into separate frequency bands that can be separately routed to individual power amplifiers, which are then connected to specific transducers optimised for a particular frequency band
  • Protection Circuitry: When working in critical audio production environments it is essential that monitoring systems remain reliable and functional at all times. One of the main reasons behind Genelec’s excellent success in broadcasting environments is the reliability of yheir products and a key element behind the reliability is the internal protection circuitry found in all products since 1978
  • Reflex Port Design: Genelec’s choice for vented, or reflex, enclosures dates back to the S30 model, the first Genelec product from 1978. Port performance has been improved and refined over the years with the aim to increase the woofer’s low frequency extension and sound pressure level capability to provide outstanding bass articulation and definition
  • Room Response Compensation: The interaction between room acoustic and loudspeaker radiation is complex. Each room changes somewhat the monitor’s response in a unique way, e.g. reflective vs. damped rooms, or placement against a wall vs. on a stand away from the walls
  • Versatile Mountings: In addition to perfect acoustical design and advanced tailoring options to optimise the loudspeaker’s behaviour to the room environment, Genelec loudspeakers offer a variety of mounting options for easy installation in different applications
