Seagull began production of their guitars in 1982. Started as a sub-brand of Godin guitars, owner Robert Godin wanted to take the ideas behind the worlds best hand-made instruments and infuse them into an affordable range.
Like their parent company, Seagull have strong links to their country of origin. All Seagull guitars are made in Canada from start to finish, and they use sustainable local wood in the manufacturing process. As a brand, Seagull has a strong commitment to sustainability. Their facilities are hydroelectrically powered and they use re-claimed wood as well as working with forestries to organise re-planting schemes.
Seagull have also introduced alternative design elements into the build of their guitars, such as placing the tuning machines more in line with the nut to improve tuning stability. Whatever model you're looking at, Seagull make beautiful instruments with a unique manufacturing process. At Mannys we stock a great selection of the ever-growing Seagull range.
